Matthew J. Peterson

Matthew J. Peterson is Vice President of Education at the Claremont Institute. As a professor, Dr. Peterson has taught courses on political philosophy, American government, rhetoric, and media at the School of Public Policy at Pepperdine University, Loyola Marymount University, and Claremont McKenna College, among others. He also has an extensive background in media and political research. At the Claremont Institute, Dr. Peterson heads a new center designed to support and advance graduate level study in America. He also directs Claremont Institute's expanding portfolio of educational programming, including the annual Publius, Lincoln, John Marshall, and Speechwriters Fellowships. Dr. Peterson graduated from Thomas Aquinas College, and received his M.A. in politics and Ph.D. in political science from Claremont Graduate University. You can follow him on Twitter at @docMJP
