Joshua Duclos

Joshua Duclos holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from Boston University. He earned his BA from Connecticut College and his AM from the University of Chicago. From 2008-2009 he was a Fulbright Scholar in the Czech Republic. In 2016 he was named as a summer research fellow at the Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer Range Future. His dissertation focused on the peculiar moral problem that accompany wilderness preservation. Dr. Duclos has taught a wide variety of courses on ethics, political philosophy, logic, and intellectual history. He currently teaches philosophy at Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, CT. Outside of academia, Dr. Duclos works as backcountry guide and spends as much time as possible in New Hampshire's White Mountains.
