What Is Charlemagne Institute?

Charting a Course for Heartland Conservatism...
And Advancing the Restoration of the American Republic

Charlemagne Institute is a publisher and educational organization predicated upon a restoration of the values with which Western civilization was founded and upon which the American republic was built. Charlemagne Institute is also a membership organization whose purpose is to use its publications to provide education as well as a forum for discussion and debate on seminal topics within the studies of politics, culture, history, family, and education. In terms of view point, Charlemagne Institute sees itself as advancing the values of heartland conservatism.

Charlemagne Institute publishes two exceptional and widely acclaimed magazines: Chronicles: A Magazine of American Culture, which appears in monthly print and online issues, and Intellectual Takeout, an online-only daily magazine read by as many as ten million viewers annually.

Above and beyond its publications, the organization also broadcasts interviews and discussions through its Backchannel service. It has also organized and sponsored annual educational programs under its Alcuin Internship, an immersive, ten-week course for college students and recent graduates.
